On 23 January 2026, the Erasmus+ co-funded project DeepTech for Creative Trust officially began with a successful Kick-off Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) hosted by Luxembourg Creative Lab at its premises in Schifflange, Luxembourg.

The meeting brought together the three project partners—Luxembourg Creative Lab (Luxembourg), XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and Budakov Films Ltd (Bulgaria)—to align on a shared mission: strengthening trust and resilience in the creative and audio-visual sectors by addressing the growing challenges posed by deepfakes, and by promoting ethical and responsible use of AI.

A structured start and shared understanding

The day opened with a welcome from Luxembourg Creative Lab, followed by a partner roundtable where each organisation introduced its team, expertise, and role in the project. This early exchange helped establish a clear and collaborative working environment, ensuring common understanding of the project’s ambition, expected results, and operational principles.

Turning project goals into an actionable roadmap

The core working session focused on translating the project vision into a practical implementation plan. Partners reviewed key organisational and procedural elements, including:

  • Partnership agreements and relevant recommendations from the National Agency

  • A clear overview of tasks and responsibilities across the consortium

  • Goals and deadlines for Activities 1, 2, and 3 to ensure coordinated delivery

  • Financial management procedures supporting transparency and accountable implementation

  • Dissemination and quality management, led by Budakov Films, to ensure visibility and long-term impact

  • Initial coordination for the Open Public Event, led by XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with Luxembourg Creative Lab, aimed at engaging a wider audience of stakeholders

This session was instrumental in confirming a shared approach to planning, documentation, internal communication, and delivery standards from the project’s earliest phase.

Collaboration beyond the agenda

Informal discussions during the coffee break and the shared lunch created valuable space for further exchange and relationship-building. These moments helped strengthen cooperation across borders and disciplines—an important foundation for a project that relies on shared expertise, co-creation, and continuous coordination.

Next steps: visibility, quality, and stakeholder engagement

In the afternoon, partners deepened the discussion on dissemination strategy and quality assurance, refining how project outputs will be communicated and validated over time. The consortium also advanced planning for the Open Public Event, recognising its importance as a mechanism for stakeholder dialogue, awareness-raising, and broader project uptake.

The meeting concluded with the distribution of Certificates of Attendance, marking both participation and the formal start of project implementation.

A strong beginning for a European collaboration

The Kick-off TPM in Schifflange confirmed that DeepTech for Creative Trust begins with strong alignment, clear governance, and a motivated partnership. As the project moves into its implementation phase, the consortium remains committed to delivering practical, high-quality outcomes that support creative professionals, educators, and organisations in navigating deepfakes and adopting AI responsibly.

Further updates will be shared soon as activities progress and upcoming events are announced.
